Meet David,
Behind the Design

About Me

I’m David Braylark, a UX/UI and Product Designer with a passion for creating impactful, user-centered digital experiences. My career began as a self-taught Flash and ActionScript developer at Turner Broadcasting, which quickly evolved into a journey with top brands like Apple, Disney, and Best Buy, Cartoon Network, NBA, Hasbro, and many others. Along the way, I’ve launched web and social media businesses, pivoted into product design, and earned multiple design patents. For me, design is about solving real-world problems and making technology accessible, engaging, and meaningful.

With over 15 years in the field, I bring a unique blend of technical expertise, business insight, visual design, and an entrepreneurial spirit. Outside of work, I’m always pursuing something new—whether that’s bowling competitively, working on DIY projects, or exploring real estate investments. Let’s dive deeper into what keeps me motivated, inspired, and constantly evolving.

What inspired you to get into design?

+
-

I’ve always been a problem solver with a creative edge, and design lets me bring those skills together. Starting out as a Flash developer was exciting because it allowed me to build interactive experiences. Over time, I transitioned to product design and UX because I wanted to create solutions that didn’t just look good but worked seamlessly for users. My entrepreneurial side has always pushed me to think beyond design, connecting user needs with business goals.

What’s the most rewarding part of your work?

+
-

The most rewarding part of my work is seeing users interact with the final product and knowing it makes a difference in their day-to-day. Whether it’s simplifying a complex interface or solving a unique problem, watching users engage with my designs is incredibly fulfilling. Winning design awards and holding four design patents are great honors, but it’s the impact on people that keeps me motivated.

Who have you worked with, and any highlights?

+
-

I’ve worked with a range of top brands, including Disney, Apple, eBay, T-Mobile, and Honeywell, each bringing unique challenges and learning experiences. Leading design efforts at Honeywell was a major highlight, where I helped develop software products used globally in industries like cybersecurity and healthcare. Collaborating with such respected companies has sharpened my design thinking and allowed me to tackle projects at a high level.

What do you enjoy outside of work?

+
-

Outside of work, I’m a competitive bowler—I started bowling at the age of five, and it’s taken me all over the country for tournaments. I’m also part of a car club here in Atlanta, where I love exploring new places and networking with fellow car enthusiasts. DIY projects, traveling, and spending time with my part-wolf dog keep me busy and bring a lot of joy to my life.

What’s your motto or guiding philosophy?

+
-

My motto is, "Live life with purpose; end it with a legacy." Whether through design, mentoring others, or pursuing new ventures, my passion is inspiring people to go after their dreams and create something meaningful. Helping others live their best life is something I find truly rewarding.
